With the assistance of the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for the planning, development and execution of a successful Partner Channel. We want you to make this role and channel your own.

We are looking for a Partner Manager to join Hive and create amazing relationships with partners who can refer Hive into people-focused organisations within their network.

Scope of this Role

In this role, you’ll make a valuable contribution to the growth and success of Hive through building out and managing the partner channel.

As the Hive partner channel grows, you will proactively recruit new partners across the UK and support existing partners with the aim of them referring Hive into their network of people-focused organisations. 

This position is ideal for someone who loves building long-lasting relationships and has a proven track record of developing, managing & creating business through partners (or similar). Ideally, you will have an active network to gain quick traction.

The role will typically involve working on a variety of different tasks and no two days will be alike. 

You will be expected to;

Get prospective partners excited about employee engagement. TBF, our proposition isn’t a hard sell, but it’s essential that you’re passionate about what we do. Can you see yourself being excited about helping organisations to create engaging workplaces?

You’ll proactively recruit new partners and drive referrals through their knowledge of Hive’s proposition. 

You’ll be responsible for updating partners on product development, sharing new marketing collateral, updating them on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues. Knowledge is power! The more they know about Hive, the more they will talk about us. 

Your aim is to develop long term business partnerships, manage and motivate the partners, increase referrals and in turn sales; and provide real value to Hive.

You’ll fully understand and personify our culture, values & approach to relationship building and sales. 

Develop plans for each partner and complete quarterly business reviews to track/feedback progress against targets.

You will collaborate with other departments, including marketing, sales, and product. By doing so you will leverage their skills and expertise to make the partner channel a success. 

Deliver partner events, conferences, meetings and webinars. You will form great relationships with our marketing team, who will assist with managing these events. 

Champion the channel. We want people inside and outside of Hive to appreciate & recognise the amazing job you do. We want others to look on in envy at what you are creating at Hive.

We want you to have a good appreciation of market & industry trends, and observe what Hive’s competitors are doing in the partner space. You will feedback to the business on the competitive landscape and provide recommendations from partners that will help us shape our future development.

About You

If you’re someone that can demonstrate experience in partner channel management – you should apply. 

If not – you should still apply if you can demonstrate the transferable skills.

You’re positive, likeable, curious and great at building relationships with personalities from all walks of life. You’re never short of anything interesting or fun to talk about. You enjoy meeting and getting to know new people.

Listening is one of your best skills. You retain information, you’re intelligent and you can understand as well as communicate complex concepts. 

You’re not phased by presenting to a room of experts yet you know how to tailor your approach for different audiences and thinking preferences.

You can play the long game and understand the importance of building long-term partnerships through being proactive, responsive & knowledgeable. 

You’re confident with your subject matter and as such, you can see yourself developing a good understanding of employee engagement. 

Continuous improvement and innovation come easily, and you learn from mistakes quickly. If self-development isn’t one of your strong points, Hive probably isn’t for you.
