TH March Group has introduced ‘March Stars,’ a customised version of Hive’s recognition tool, which celebrates outstanding employee contributions. This initiative has significantly boosted morale, built a culture of recognition, and reinforced company values. They’ve found the features of being able to personal survey invitations and reminders is an added bonus, rather than having to submit for a change to be made.
“For years we’ve acknowledged our ‘March Stars’ monthly, and promoted winners both internally and externally. These are awards nominated by colleagues for fulfilling TH March Group Values. Between January 2024 and May 2024 a massive 167 nominations were made by colleagues, an increase from August to December 2023, and we should never underestimate the value of a thank you or well done!”

Boosting transparency with always-on listening
TH March Group customised Hive’s always-on listening tool, Open Door, renaming it ‘Open Dawe’, (kudos for the play on words) to allow for messages to be sent confidentially directly to their Managing Director, Simon Dawe.
“We renamed “Open Door” to “Open Dawe” to reflect our value of teamwork. As part of our company value, “We are a team,” it emphasises making sure all employees feel valued, connected, and respected.
This feature is vital for encouraging further open dialogue, showing we care about our peoples opinions, acting as another mechanism to gain crucial insights into how employees are feeling and not just relying only on other periodic surveys or anecdotal feedback via team leaders, managers, and heads of departments.

“We have been using the employee Net Promoter Score functionality since 2020 and have seen our score continually improve since 2021. Our current eNPS is +83 and we share the most recent score along with previous scores, and all comments made with colleagues. This feature of Hive is very simple to use and provides an additional to keep our finger on the pulse of the company.”
